Our mission is to integrate mental wellness into the foundation of sports, ensuring every athlete has the support, knowledge, and confidence to thrive—both in competition and in life. We believe that true success is built on resilience, focus, and a strong sense of self, and we are committed to equipping teams with the resources to make that a reality.
Our Vision
We envision a world where mental performance is valued just as much as physical training—where athletes at every level have access to the guidance and support they need to reach their full potential. Through education, mentorship, and innovative tools, Nui Sport is creating a movement that reshapes the culture of sports, making mental strength an essential part of every game plan. Our goal is to build a future where athletes feel empowered, supported, and mentally prepared to take on any challenge, on and off the field.
Our Story
Healthier.Together.
Julie Korioth, the Founder and CEO of Nui Sport, is redefining how the sports world approaches mental health and performance, recognizing that whole health comes from integrating psychological and physical well-being. By equipping athletes, parents, coaches, and athletic trainers with the tools to support physical excellence and mental resilience, she is transforming the way mental training is embraced in sports culture. A passionate advocate, speaker, and mental performance educator, she works with athletes and their support systems to make mental training an essential part of sports culture.
Inspired by her journey with mental health and her experience as a parent of two young athletes, Julie founded Nui Sport with a mission to create generational change in youth sports. She is dedicated to equipping athletes and their support systems with the tools, mentorship, and support they need to thrive—both in and out of the game. “Nui” means “big” in Hawaiian, reflecting her mission to make a massive impact on how young athletes and those around them engage in mental wellness.
Julie’s expertise is backed by both lived experience and academic knowledge. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University and an undergraduate degree from Texas State University. She previously served as a board member for SIMS, a non-profit dedicated to supporting music professionals facing mental health challenges.
She resides in Austin, Texas, with her two children, balancing her passion for mental wellness with firsthand experience in the demands of youth sports. Through Nui Sport, she is committed to creating a lasting shift in how mental health is approached in athletics.
